Lyre Table / Console Table, Early 20th Century, in Neoclassical Style

£420.00

A white painted lyre-form table, drawing on late 18th century neoclassical models, with a single drawer set beneath a rectangular top.

The base is centred on a lyre-shaped support with vertical metal rods, set within a shaped frame and raised on a broad, stepped plinth. It’s this central section that carries it — a familiar classical motif, handled in a way that feels light and slightly playful.

The painted surface shows age and use throughout, with soft wear to the edges and corners. The drawer is fitted with a simple keyhole escutcheon. No key present.

A decorative, easy piece, with enough presence to stand on its own without feeling formal.

Height: approx. 82 cm
Width: approx. 77 cm
Depth: approx. 38 cm
