A Swedish hand-forged iron pendant lamp, likely dating from the first decade of the 20th century. Its crown-like frame is worked in heavily hammered iron, with large fleur-de-lis motifs surrounding a cream fabric diffuser.
The medieval, heraldic forms and visibly worked iron reflect the Arts and Crafts and Jugend influences appearing in Swedish design around 1900. When illuminated, the fabric turns a warm parchment colour, throwing the ironwork into silhouette.
Professionally rewired and PAT tested.
Height: Approx 36cm
Width: Approx 35cm
