A French Art Deco table lamp by Schneider, dating from 1925–30. Schneider was one of France’s leading decorative glassmakers of the period, particularly known for its use of moulded and frosted glass.
The geometric satin-frosted shade is paired with a hand-worked wrought iron base of curling stems and ginkgo-like leaves. Ginkgo was a recurring motif in Art Nouveau and Japonisme around the turn of the century, with botanical forms continuing into the Art Deco period.
